GGotW:
Where did you get the name Lady Atropos? Was there an inspiring faction or was it taken from a source or two?
A: I have a life long passion for reading, and much of that reading has included mythology from various culturs. Atropos stems from greek and roman mythology. She was one of the 3 fates - the eldest who cut the thread of life for mortal and gods alike. I like the name because it reminds me of mortality and how precious life is.
I really don't use the Lady part anymore - as I found out it often is misunderstood as a name tag for me being a ProDom. In the event anyone is wondering, I'm not :P

Atropos

GGotW: What part of the country do you live in?
A: I live in...Ohio. I have lived all over in my youth, as I was a military child, but my end result is that I have taken up a long term home in ohio.

GGotW: Has modeling been easy where you live or do you find you need to travel for gigs?
A: Modeling is easy for me because I have a very strong drive and marketing sense. I never travel and yet I have been very fortunate to have acheived a lot! I consider my success pure luck, mixed in with knowing how to tap into that luck.

AtroposGGotW: What lead you to modeling?
A: I love Halloween and costumes. I create costumes all the time but never had any good quality photos to document them - thus, modeling came into play.

GGotW: Was the gothic modeling your first genre, or did you start in another field and move into Goth?
A: I don't really have any specific genre. I shoot whatever I want, regardless of style, or lables. You could say I started as a gothic model, though that never was the intention.

GGotW: Who's your favourite photographer to work with?
A: I don't have one. I've worked with a few great photographers who are -not- known in the industry. They are small humble talents with amazing skills - thats the best kind of a photographer :)

GGotW: What keeps you busy when you're not modeling?
A: GAMING! I am a geek - I love games. Table top, rpgs, computer games, card games, whatever it is....Ill give it a try! I dont attend fetish parties or gothic balls..i attend gaming conventions.

Lady Atropos NoneGGotW: When you model are the clothes yours already, or are they bought / designed special for the shoot?
A: Some of the clothing are mine, some of the clothing are bough, some are sent to me to wear for a catalog. It all depends on what the shoot is for. I try and do a shoot with a purpose in mind.

GGotW: What's your favourite outfit to date?
A: My gasmask one :) - I call that one "Bishop".

GGotW: What is the coolest thing you've ever shoot?
A: The latex ballerina - I was suspended on ropes into the air as if I were a puppet ballerina on a massive stage. Oh man, did I make funny sounds! While I was suspended - the shibari rigger spun me around and puppetted me for a laugh.

GGotW: What is the wierdest thing you've ever shoot?
A: That would be an upcoming photo shoot I have planned..its a secret so I cant tell you :P

GGotW: What will you not shoot, or are you limitless?
A: I'm not a porn, adult, bondage, fetish model. Some of the stuff I shoot is cheeky or suggestive..but you won't find me on paysites. I am not a part of the adult industry - so I don't shoot it.

GGotW: Have you ever been ask to do something in shoot and weren't sure you wanted to?
A: Models get asked all the time to do things that they would never want to. I've had seemingly gentlemen photographers turn into creeps very quickly. I normally don't do what they want due to the requests usually being disrespectful and crude. If the behavior was unexcusable, I dont shoot with them again.

GGotW: What's up next for you? More shoots, shows, or some other project that you're working on in another field.
A: I'm returning to college. Modeling doesnt provide a 401k (*editor* a retirement fund), or much else. It is very fun, and creative..but I sooner depend upon an education and a good job to provide for my retirement
funding.

GGotW: When you started your website, was there are propose behind it other than exposure?
A: Yes, I use it as a training grounds for my marketing skills. I am very successful with promotion things online and have several websites that are the #1 google search result for many big key words. My personal website is a playground for the study of that marketing form - where I can screw around with its promotion and take that knowledge to my clients.

GGotW: What can you say to advise other models or aspiring models?
A: Modeling is fun, but to be careful and dont step into it being too serious. You have to be able to laugh at yourself - otherwise you and others will tear you apart.
